    VDI Adoption Gains SMB Momentum

    While the whole concept of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) was initially met with skepticism, a new survey of 353 IT professionals conducted by Dimensional Research on behalf of Pivot3, a provider of VDI appliances, finds interest in VDI is increasing across the VDI spectrum. Once thought to be a technology that only large enterprise IT organizations had a compelling reason to deploy, the survey indicates that interest in VDI at the small-to-medium (SMB) level is starting to pick up.
