IT Executives Select Real-World Bests after Face-to-Face Demos at IT Business Edge’s Midmarket CIO Forum
LOUISVILLE, KY – December 9, 2010 –Tech publisher IT Business Edge has announced the winners of the Midmarket CIO Forum Awards, tallied from ballots from senior IT executives that attended the company’s unique conference held in Orlando. Based on the results of on-site polling of midmarket IT executives, TriGeo has been awarded the Best Midmarket Solution and Rackspace (NYSE: RAX) has been named as Best Midmarket Strategy.
The innovative Midmarket CIO Forum is unlike traditional conferences and trade shows, bringing IT executives and vendors together for a series of rapid-fire small group meetings where attendees explore technologies and products relevant to their business. This allows C-level and executive-level midmarket IT professionals to source technology solutions, build professional relationships, and refine best practices.
Voting was held on the final day of the event among all pre-qualified attendees to honor top technology companies focused on serving their needs as midmarket organizations. The Best Midmarket Solution – the product/solution that is best suited to specifically meet the needs of the midmarket – was awarded to TriGeo Network Security for the second time this year; they were also voted The Best Midmarket Solution in March 2010. Rackspace was awarded The Best Midmarket Strategy, voted as the company with the most innovative and aggressive approach towards targeting midmarket organizations through product development, innovation and marketing techniques.
Midmarket CIO Forum Award winners and nominees:
Best Midmarket Solution: TriGeo Network Security
Nominees were: Hitachi Data Systems, IBM, TIBCO Software, Inc. (TIBX)
Best Midmarket Strategy: Rackspace (NYSE: RAX)

“Congratulations to all our nominees and our winners TriGeo and Rackspace. Unlike other awards, ours are decided by pre-qualified IT decision makers who have interacted with all our nominees, face-to-face, for two days,” said Phil Branon, president of IT Business Edge. “Two winners are chosen at the event from among some of the most impressive Midmarket technology providers in the industry. This honor is hard-won and truly deserved.”
