created this policy to ensure that all information technology equipment purchases meet
the needs of users and minimize negative human health effects and environmental
harm.
This policy, designed to serve as a model for other public agencies, private
businesses and residents, requires that IT purchases contain minimum levels of toxic
components, operate with high efficiency and maximize product longevity.
