Twitter is a great tool for communicating with students, staff, faculty and alumni, but only when used in a professional manner. Use these guidelines to educate users on proper Twitter usage.
Colorado State University encourages the use of Twitter to communicate with
prospective and current students, staff, faculty, partners and alumni.
The following guidelines are intended to help Twitter users conduct their online
activities in a successful and productive manner. These guidelines cover rules for
creating a profile user name, avatar/background images, engaging with followers,
maintaining accounts and profile promotion. Twitter’s unique vocabulary is also
defined.
