As the popularity of Apple systems and devices in the enterprise continues to rise, IT organizations that have been historically Windows centric are looking for ways to manage them.
For most IT organizations, that means choosing between either extending the Windows management framework they have today or implementing one alongside it specifically designed for Apple devices. While that may represent a significant expenditure, JAMF Software has been making that latter approach more affordable via a Bushel software-as-a-service (SaaS) application. Now JAMF Software is extending that concept via a series of Bushel Blueprints that provide a series of templates IT organizations can invoke to configure Apple devices and automate application deployments.
A lot of smaller organizations have no IT staff. The task of managing devices often falls to whoever has the most technical experience. JAMF Software CEO Dean Hager says Bushel makes it possible for those individuals or an overburdened IT staff to manage Apple devices without having to stand up a lot of dedicated infrastructure.
Unlike other mobile device management (MDM) platforms, Hager says, Bushel is specifically designed to be used by almost anybody in the organization.
At this point, it’s clear that Apple is every bit a part of the enterprise as Windows. The challenge facing organizations now is how best to go about coping with that reality.https://o1.qnsr.com/log/p.gif?;n=203;c=204663295;s=11915;x=7936;f=201904081034270;u=j;z=TIMESTAMP;a=20410779;e=i
