Virtualization was supposed to make IT easier to manage, but a new survey of 250 IT executives that was conducted by Information Technology Intelligence Corp. on behalf of Stratus Technologies makes it clear that IT environments are more complex than ever.
This trend creates a paradox in that while the price of IT infrastructure is falling, the cost of managing it all is increasing.
At the same time, there are more mission-critical applications than ever, which means there’s more riding on fragile IT infrastructure.
