Like most executives, the priorities of the CIO are usually changing in response to the needs of the business and the general state of the economy. But an annual global survey of 3,018 CIOs from IBM finds that not only are CIOs more in sync with senior business executives, there are four major classes of CIOs to appreciate when considering the psychological makeup and predispositions of the average CIO.
No matter what the predisposition of the CIO, the survey finds that while business intelligence and analytics are still the highest priority, interest in all things cloud computing is rising fast.
