IT Plays Catch-up with Cloud Application Security

Despite concerns over cloud security and compliance, a new survey of 200 IT organizations in the U.S. and 200 in the United Kingdom, conducted by SailPoint, a provider of identity management and access  tools, finds that one in three mission-critical applications already runs in the cloud. Moreover, the IT organizations surveyed said they expect that one in two mission-critical applications will run in the cloud by 2015.

Unfortunately, the survey also makes it plain that when it comes to security and compliance many IT organizations are playing catch up with new cloud applications.
