Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29, Atlanta will host JobMobile Atlanta, one of a series of career events being held across the country by TheLadders. The focus of the event is on how mobile staff recruitment is changing the hiring landscape. (Registration is available online.)
TheLadders CEO Alex Douzet, along with other company executives and representatives from the Atlanta recruiting community, will discuss what highly skilled job seekers, including technical folks, are looking for during their job search and evaluation processes. TheLadders has made a strategic move to a “mobile-first, web-second approach,” and will share its best practices for mobile sites and apps.
TheLadders says it has over 4,300 positions currently listed for the Atlanta area, at an average salary of $105,000.
One Atlanta company looking to both hire and maximize on mobile trends is mobile software firm AirWatch, which is adding about 400 jobs in Atlanta and another 400 around the country, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle. The firm’s mobile device management solutions grew this year with the acquisition of Motorola Solutions’ Mobility Services Platform and are used by Home Depot and UPS employees. And extending the chain of mobile trends, executives of the latter say that daily package volume during the peak year-end holiday season is projected to rise by 8 percent, driven by increases in e-commerce and mobile commerce.
