Technology Project Management Policy
This policy can help ensure that projects are implemented using best practice techniques and established project management methodologies, such as PMBOK and Prince2, when acquiring and deploying new technology.
The City and County of San Francisco Committee on Information Technology (COIT) uses
this policy to ensure that technology projects are implemented using best practice
techniques and established project management methodologies.
This policy requires departments to adopt a generally recognized and accepted
methodology such as PMBOK and Prince2 when managing, acquiring and deploying new
technology. In addition, each project must include management tools such as the project
charter and project plan.
