Exinda Applies Analytics to WAN Optimization

Even when IT organizations do rarely gain a glimpse into what’s occurring on the wide area network (WAN), chances are they don’t have the expertise needed to decipher what to do about that information.

With that issue in mind, Exinda has created what it describes as the industry’s first WAN orchestration platform.

Ryan Tollofson, director of marketing for Exinda, says Exinda Network Orchestrator combines monitoring and analytics to create prescriptive recommendations and actions for shaping traffic and WAN optimization.

Based on Exinda WAN optimization software, Tollofson says the goal behind the development of the Exinda Network Orchestrator is to bring WAN optimization into the realm of the average administrator.

Organizations in the age of the cloud are clearly more dependent on the WAN than ever. The challenge is that very few of them have the telecommunications expertise needed to optimize the flow of traffic over multiple types of WANs. Applying prescriptive analytics to that problem means that IT organizations will not only gain visibility into what’s happening on the WAN, but more importantly, have to worry a lot less about it.
