Network Security

Resource Center
Network security is a broad-reaching term that encompasses the protection, integrity and continuity of network-based assets, which include hardware, software and data, along with related network services.

Network access controls limit who can log on to the network and what they can utilize while there. An intrusion prevention system (IPS), such as antivirus software or a firewall, fends off malicious attacks through the Internet or determines access to shared network software. Wireless networks have an even more intricate security net to prevent unwanted intrusions.

Check out the Network Security Resource Center for up-to-the-minute information on the latest network threats, cutting-edge technology, vendor and product specifications and much more.
