Five Ways Contact Centers Use Analytics to Make Smarter Business Decisions

With more organizations focused on modernizing their DevOps process, usage of the open source Jenkins continuous integration framework has risen sharply. Looking to provide an enterprise-class management platform around Jenkins, CloudBees has created the CloudBees Jenkins Operations Center.

Steven Harris, senior vice president of products for CloudBees, says the new platform has been introduced alongside an upgrade to the enterprise edition of Jenkins that CloudBees made available. Also, the CloudBees Jenkins Operations Center provides the ability to simultaneously manage multiple instances of Jenkins along with analytics tools that provide insight into the performance attributes of those instances of Jenkins.

The upgrade to the enterprise-edition of Jenkins by CloudBees, meanwhile, provides the ability to more easily manage workflow pipelines across multiple instances and Jenkins, along with recovery tools in the event that one of those instances fails.

Harris says that CloudBees Jenkins Operations Center will make it simpler for IT organizations to manage DevOps at scale by, for example, making it easier to manage continuous updates to applications that are regularly created thanks to the increased adoption of agile development methodologies. But for all the talk of agile development, the simple fact is that most IT operations teams still don’t have a well-defined framework in place that allows them cope with application updates, which now show up as often as once a week.

Harris says that the opportunity now is to use an industrial-strength implementation of Jenkins to support the continuous development and delivery of application software that these days can occur inside and outside of the cloud, and also almost anywhere in the world.
