Ayasdi Accelerates Development of AI Applications

By now, most organizations have come to terms with the fact that they will be building and deploying applications infused with some form of artificial intelligence (AI). The challenge many of them face is determining the simplest and fastest way of going about achieving that goal.

Ayasdi is making available an Ayasdi Envision framework designed to make it possible for developers and subject matter experts within an organization to collaboratively build AI applications.

Jonathan Symonds, chief marketing officer for Ayasdi, says the pace at which most AI applications are developed today is painfully slow. Ayasdi Envision provides a framework that includes graphical user interface (GUI) components that make it possible to build a complete web application by embedding workflow and collaboration tools within the platform.

“We’re trying to change the pace of development of AI applications,” says Symonds.

To further accelerate the development of those applications, Ayasdi is also making available an Ayasdi Model Accelerator tailored for specific vertical industries such as financial services.

In general, Symonds says, Ayasdi expects most of the AI applications that get deployed to augment humans rather than replace them. But over time, it’s also true that the more data an AI application is exposed to, the smarter it becomes. The challenge going forward inside most organizations will be determining the fine line between where machines stop adding value and humans begin.
