Review highlights:
While many factors play into the notion of feeling satisfied with your job and your employer, without a doubt one of the top criteria is adequate compensation and benefits. Let's face it, having adequate financial resources just makes life easier. Feeling that your company appreciates your contribution and supports your well-being, well, that doesn't hurt either.
Recently, Glassdoor.com identified the Top 25 Companies for Compensation & Benefits based on workplace insights shared on their website by people who know these companies best – the employees. Based entirely on U.S. employee feedback shared over the past 12 months, employees report high satisfaction with not only pay, but also overall benefits packages and perks like free food or even company-wide trips to Hawaii.
Not surprisingly, tech-related companies were well represented on the list, including Google, which took the number-one spot with a 4.4 out of 5 rating for compensation and benefits. Also on the list were Facebook, Riverbed, VMware and Microsoft, just to name a few.
