The rumor mill continues to boil over speculation about the new Windows 7 operating system and when it might launch. With many users currently opting for the older XP platform, instead of the more current Vista platform, there is some hesitancy about adopting Windows 7 out of the gate.

For those wanting to learn more about the upcoming Microsoft OS, Knowledge Network partner Windows Guides has uploaded a chapter excerpt from the book "Windows 7-Pocket Guide." The book covers the basics of customizing, improving and organizing the upcoming Windows 7 operating system.

Two of the other books uploaded by Windows Guides have also been excerpted on the Knowledge Network. One is on Windows Vista and the other is on Vista Customization.
