It wasn't long ago -- last month, in fact -- that I posed the question: Will recession help or hurt Web 2.0?
Some experts think the recession will hurt Web 2.0 technologies because of their largely unproven ROI, I wrote. Others think there could be increased interest and investment in Web 2.0 because of its apparent ability to bring companies closer to their customers, a key advantage in a down economy.
Organizers of the Web 2.0 Expo slated for this spring in San Francisco obviously hold the latter view. In contrast to previous expos, this one will focus on the financial benefits of Web 2.0 technologies. According to an item in SFGate.com. speakers will address "leveraging the Web in tough economic times."
