More Good News on IT Jobs Outlook

Ann All

It's hard to be pessimistic about the North American market for IT professionals, with reports like this new one from Robert Half Technology.

Thirteen percent of CIOs plan to add new IT jobs in 2006's fourth quarter, while just 3 percent anticipate cutting positions, according to the staffing firm.

The trend seems likely to continue, seeing that 19 percent of the tech execs cited the installation or development of enterprisewide applications as a reason for bringing on new hires. If they are embarking on ambitious IT projects, as this stat would seem to indicate, it stands to reason they'll need even more workers in the near future.
