Windows 7, the next version of Microsoft's operating system, is projected for release sometime in 2010. A milestone version of Windows 7 has been released to key partners and some screenshots of the new OS have been leaked, but Microsoft is staying quiet on Windows 7 as it focuses on adoption of Windows Vista. Some speculated features of Windows 7 include incorporation of Vista's gadgets into Internet Explorer, a virtual hard disk, and MinWin, a pared-down version of the Windows API and core libraries.
