Not only does China rank right up there with Africa and India in growth of cellular subscriptions, but more people in China use the Internet (253 million) than people in the United States (223.1 million), according to statistics as of June 2008. Linux and open source software is also widely used in China. However, China presents unique dilemmas. Google and others were reprimanded by U.S. officials when they agreed to abide by Chinese censorship requirements in order to do business there.
