Vendors and Markets
No matter the technology or service, there's a vendor to provide it, depending on technology market segment as well as the geographic market(s) that are within the vendor's reach. Some vendors are known worldwide for their names alone, such as Microsoft or Oracle; other vendors are more easily identified by the market segments in which they specialize, like Coverity in the security space. Vendors are also known according to the geographic markets they serve, such as Africa, the Americas, or Asia Pacific, among others.
