WEP

The most important thing for business to remember about Wired Equivalent Privacy, or WEP, is to not rely on it. The original Wi-Fi data security standard has long since been deemed insufficient for business, or even use by consumers who are highly conscious of security. WEP does provide some security via data encryption, but even the group that published the WEP standard has said it was never intended to be the only security measure implemented on a WLAN.
