Wireless networking is the transmission of data, voice and video signals without wires. There are many forms of wireless networking. Wireless networking can include cellular platforms, but most often refers to Wi-Fi and other non-cellular initiatives. Companies use wireless networking to increase productivity - enabling them to be more mobile in the work place, for instance - and to aid customers. Challenges include security and making networks robust enough to provide roaming for voice and video in addition to data.
