.Net

The .NET Framework is a Microsoft software development environment native to current releases of the Windows OS, and available to older versions along with Windows Mobile. .NET includes a library of classes, or pre-coded solutions, to common programming issues, such as network connectivity and data access. .NET programs run in a virtual environment called the Common Language Runtime. The .NET Framework is designed to support interoperability and portability of code, both for client- and Web-based applications.
