Oracle Database

The Oracle relational database management system (RDBMS), currently in release 11g, is the database backbone of much of the enterprise software market, including business applications from manufacturer Oracle. The Oracle RDBMS, with the release of version 10g, supported the use of networked processing power in a grid/utility computing model. Oracle Database employs PL/SQL, its proprietary extension of the Structured Query Language (SQL) standard.
