Backup is the process of creating a reserve data copy in case of damage to the original data source. Most large businesses employ backup software that is more effective than a manual backup solution. This backup software often provides data voluming, for storage on removable media; data compression; automatic backups to offsite data centers (or online vaulting); and automated scheduling to increase the reliability of the backups.
