Telecommunications Services

Telecommunications companies, or telecoms, have moved beyond simple phone service and are employing their fiber-optic and high-speed wireless networks to deliver a full range of information services. Most telecoms offer Internet connectivity as DSL over copper lines, but build-outs to extend fiber lines to homes and businesses are opening the door to very high-speed broadband and services such as IPTV. Telecoms tend to offer their wired and wireless voice and data services as bundles to encourage all-in-one shopping.
