Oracle Combats IBM Poaching by Placing Informational Ads

Oracle is attempting to combat the poaching of customers from Sun Microsystems by IBM and Hewlett-Packard by placing strategic, informational ads that tell customers that it will spend even more on Sun hardware than Sun does currently. Other ads also tell IBM directly that the company looks “forward to competing” with them.
