Microsoft Confirms Unpatched SMB Bug

Microsoft confirmed a Server Message Block vulnerability that affects Windows Vista, Server 2008, and the release candidate of Windows 7. With this bug, a hacker could hijack a server or computer by exploiting the flaw, but the advisory says that attempts to exploit it have caused the system to freeze up, then restart.
