AMD Boosts Performance with New 40W Six-Core Opteron

AMD announced that its new 40W six-core Opteron processor will provide a 31 percent increase in performance-per-watt over its quad-core Opteron. With such an increase in performance, companies with larger-scale server systems could save a significant amount of power.
