Attackers Shift Phishing Strategies Toward Malware

Phishing attacks have been on a decline, which is leading many attackers to create more malware, which provides an easy, effective way to achieve the same goal. Phishing attacks dropped to 0.1 percent in all spam in the first half of 2009, while malicious web links grew by 508 percent.
