Cell Phones Immune to Viruses, but for How Long?
NY Times on August 12, 2009
Recent reports of iPhone vulnerabilities had many in the mobile industry fearing that viruses were on the horizon for cell phones. But for now, users need not fear. The strict controls placed on the mobile phone networks in the U.S. can be credited with making such viruses more difficult to distribute. Still, computer and mobile security company F-Secure has found 490 mobile viruses in the past five years.
