Survey Shows Identity Theft up, but Recovery Cheaper

The 2009 Identity Fraud Survey Report reveals that crimes against identities were up 22 percent last year; however, costs incurred to recover from such an attack have dropped sharply to an average of $496 per incident. This drop in cost is believed to be in response to the improvements companies have made in dealing with this type of theft.
