Spear Phishers Target LinkedIn Members
SPAMfighter on October 18, 2008
Nearly 10,000 LinkedIn members were the targets of a spear phishing attack. Fraudulent e-mails addressed to the recipients were made to appear as if they came from support@linkedin.com. The attachment in the e-mail contained malware designed to steal sensitive material from the user's PC.
