Bad Software Can Destroy Your Life

An investigation of child pornography on a state worker's laptop found that is was poorly configured and not receiving security updates. It was possible that the machine had been previously hacked and that malware had downloaded the child pornography. This post argues that the IT department is to blame in this instance that has left a person's life a shambles.
