Should Enterprises Consider Optical Storage?

Proponents of optical storage say it's the most durable way to store and archive data, and with migration software allowing unused data to move to an optical device, this method may be going mainstream, according to the Optical Storage Technology Association. Many industry experts think enterprises should consider optical storage because it has the highest capacity available, the lowest cost per megabyte and the longest archive life of any media, among other things.
