Wi-Fi Chipset Market Growing with Dual-Mode Phone Push

The Wi-Fi chipset market has dual-mode phones to thank for a push in global sales. In-Stat reports that the dual-mode handset segment is helping to drive the Wi-Fi chipset market, along with mobile PCs and consumer electronics. Dual-mode/Wi-Fi handsets are expected to reach 20 percent of the chipset market by 2009.
