Dell Faces Shareholder Lawsuits
CFO.com on February 02, 2007
Dell is the latest publicly held company to be hauled into court by its shareholders, according to this piece. The newest suit, filed in U.S. district court in Texas, alleges the company is accepting kickbacks from Intel to ensure that Dell computers use Intel chips exclusively. It follows on the heels of another suit, filed in September by the same law firm, the story says. Plaintiffs in that case claim that the company reported inflated financials to the Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, as well as the company's own audit committee, are investigating, according to this piece.
