How Can Web 2.0 Benefit Your Business? Gartner Counts the Ways

With all of the noise over Web 2.0, it can be hard to determine exactly how it might benefit your company. Ever-helpful Gartner has issued a list of what it says are seven benefits that Web 2.0 can offer to the traditional enterprise. Among them: Web 2.0 technologies will improve core enterprise applications. Semantic tagging technologies will make it easier to navigate internal and external information sources. Web 2.0 communities will provide valuable product feedback, shortening product development time and identifying marketing opportunities. "Positive business model change will result in unexpected ways, and enterprises must prepare for this transition," says a Gartner analyst.
