Windows Vista May Drain Laptop Batteries Faster

Laptops running Windows Vista may require stronger batteries, thanks to the power-hungry graphics features that are part of the upgraded OS. Microsoft says the new version will enable users to turn off some of those features to preserve battery life, but concedes that full-blown Vista will drain battery power faster than computers that run on Windows XP. Some PC makers have said they believe the power-management options adequately compensate for the increased demands.
