Does IT Have an Attitude Problem?

Remember the days when the only language a tech pro had to be able to speak fluently was Java? Those days are over, baby. IT pros must try harder to communicate with business users, if for no other reason than the fact that outsourcing gives companies a readily available alternative for support and other tech tasks. Of course, there are better reasons, some of which are included here. Examples: Communication skills improve the odds of career advancement for IT pros and help tech projects run smoothly. Though he's held up as an example of "what not to do," we couldn't help but giggle at the reference to one of our favorite "Saturday Night Live" characters, Nick Burns.
