CompTIA: Microsoft Fines May Just Be Start of EU Intervention

An EU decision is due tomorrow on whether to fine Microsoft in its ongoing anti-trust battle, and the daily tab may increase to $3.8 million, or 5 percent of Redmond's revenues. CompTIA has released a statement criticizing the EU and warning that European tech firms may be the next targets of government intervention, as the Union tries to prove that it doesn't have a specific ax to grind with Microsoft. Redmond says it will have technical documentation ordered in the ruling ready by July 18.
