CRM Acquisition Binge to Continue

One way shopping for a CRM solution may be simplified in the near future is through fewer choices, at least in Gartner's view. The pattern of acquisitions — 12 in the past two years — is likely to continue. On the one hand, CRM founders (and their boards) are simply running out of patience with the category's slow growth. On the other, potential buyers like Oracle and Microsoft aren't finished filling gaps. Oracle, for example, will look to add analytics and industry-specific solutions.
