Office '07 Kicks Collaboration into High Gear

Microsoft's incorporation of Groove Networks software into the upcoming Office 2007 platform, coupled with the new and improved SharePoint, will be a boon for enterprise collaboration. Groove is essentially an automation tool, but it offers the ability to create an XML workspace that allows employees to share files regardless of which server or network they are on. SharePoint, meanwhile, offers a central data access point, plus BI tools, sharing capabilities and content management.
