Multi-core Processors

Resource Center
Multi-core processing is a growing technology trend, as traditional single core processors are rapidly reaching their physical limits of potential complexity and speed.

A multi-core processor is an integrated circuit to which two or more processors have been attached for improved performance, reduced power consumption, and more efficient simultaneous processing of multiple tasks (also known as parallel processing). Multi-core processing is more efficient, with significantly faster interconnection speeds.
