It’s all about knowing what the customer needs.

One of the challenges associated with driving increased usage of analytics inside any organization is the maturity of the overall organization. In fact, a recent study conducted by IBM and the MIT Sloan Management Review finds that cultural issues rather than the technology itself are the biggest impediment to the adoption of analytics.

The survey of 4,500 business executives from over 120 countries breaks down the respondents into three groups — Transformed (24 percent), Experienced (45 percent) and Aspirational (32 percent) — to provide greater insights into how organizations with different levels of acumen are leveraging analytics to gain and maintain competitive advantage over their rivals.
