Wired says the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1 and has a 1024x600 resolution. The Tab 3 8.0 and the 10.1 offer 1280x800 resolution and run on Jelly Bean 4.2.

Apple says the iPad Retina display offers a 2048x1536 resolution at 264 pixels per inch.

Samsung and Apple are going at each other ferociously across the board. One of the most contested areas, of course, is in tablets.
