Finnegan’s Patent App[eals] makes it easy for attorneys, paralegals and legal researchers to quickly access patent-related decisions from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on their smartphone or tablet. The new app provides access to Federal Circuit decisions dating back to 2001, as well as summaries of significant decisions. Users can search via keyword, case name, case number, judge, lower court or date of decision.

According to BI Intelligence, by the end of 2013, 6 percent of the global population will own a tablet and 22 percent will own smartphones. In the continued upswing of mobile devices purchases, that new tablet or smartphone will likely come in handy at work as more companies allow employees to use their personal devices to do job-related tasks.
