Enterprise Adoption of Open Source Cloud Has a Long Way to Go

While there is a lot of talk these days about using open source technologies in the cloud, there is still a long way to go before those technologies see mainstream adoption.

A survey of 600 IT professionals conducted by Zenoss, a provider of software for managing IT operations in the data center, found that while interest in technologies such as OpenStack and various platform-as-a-service technologies is relatively high, a lack of maturity for these technologies is holding back enterprise adoption for the time being.
