And one for the future: The Xperia Z Ultra is a LTE-capable phablet with a 6.4-inch screen. It features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad core processor. The Xperia Z Ultra will launch in the third quarter.

The Android operating system is everywhere, now used by numerous manufacturers and put into all forms of computing equipment, from smartphones to smart watches to game controllers.

While concerns regarding Android security continue, nobody can argue with the platform’s success, measured either by the number of vendors relying upon it or the types of devices in which it is being used. These are some of the most interesting Android-based products that are now, or soon will be, available.
